Golden Apple Buffet - Cedar Rapids: Fresh Sushi and Diverse Asian Buffet

We had a party of seven we were seated very quickly. Three adults and three kids two 6 year olds and a 4 year old. The kids really liked the food and cleaned their plates. Our server was Melisa she was very nice and helpful. The place is very clean and the food was excellent. I would definitely return.

Atmosphere is very unique and similar to what you would see in an Asian airport! Service was also quick and polite! Food is a little above average quality for what you would expect from a buffet. Avoid the cold food if it’s not desert or sushi. Most of the cold food was not very fresh and probably defrosted. However the sushi WAS fresh.

Golden Apple really knows how to setup a buffet. Great variety of sushi with so many to choose from. They could improve on the Hot dishes of food and the shrimp really needs to be cleaned. Really great food in my opinion.

Forewarning, my plate looks craaaazy LOL. This buffet is very clean! They have a decent amount of food options for the price. I actually liked the pho a lot and that means a lot because I’m pretty picky with pho. Employees were very prompt to clear our plates and refill our drinks. Bonus: we also saw the employees eat the buffet food which is always a great sign.

A great place to eat if you love buffet styles. The staff are attentive to your refills and taking away empty plates, they have lots of different dishes, soups, salads, fruit and more. A new favorite of me & my husband's However, not sure my servers understood me well when trying to use their free drink reward when leaving a review.

This is a FANTASTIC buffet!!! The food is fresh and hot!!! The restaurant and the facilities are clean and well lit. The staff is very attentive and polite!!! A LOT of regular restaurants could learn from this place for the food quality and staff. Their price is a tad on the high end, but in the end... worth it. Get there early on Sundays... it's a LONG waiting line to get in when the church crowd comes. The parking lot gets packed with cars at that time too. Keep up the great work!!!

Love the space. It is clean has sushi and hibachi they have ice cream in individual cups no cones, liked them this way my daughter preference is self serve cone. Price is deoending on time we got there for lunch it was around $44 for 2 with tip. I will definitely go back. Only thing I didnt like is that the booths are not attached to floor so they slide at times when u move.

Every time I come here the food and service gets better!!!! Always fresh and hot, super clean at every station, to go prices are the best I have seen. Bathroom is kept up very nicely. Awesome selection of foods for everyone. The servers are always keeping an eye on your table, ready to refill your drinks. I would recommend to anyone who likes Chinese buffet to come and try it!!
